Flight protectors can be an invaluable aid to league darters. De pes flight protectors sit over the top of the flight and serve two very important purposes. Firstly they protect the flights and prolong their life by deflecting away any incoming darts. Secondly they prevent the old "Robin Hood shot" where the incoming dart impacts the flight and pierces it. This can be particularly annoying as it not only ruins the flight but it doesn't score any points either.
