Having a properly set up oche is pretty much essential to any player who wants to advance their skills at darts. As mentioned before on this site, darts is all about muscle memory. If you don't have your oche set up properly you will be standing differently each time you throw. If your stance is different then your throwing action is different and you body is simply not absorbing the lessons learned through the repetition of practice.
The obvious and correct answer is to set up an oche at home to precisely the the same measurements as are used in UK tournaments. Many players favour a traditional rubber mat but another easy solution are these adhesive oche's.
An Adhesive oche is a very simple and cost effective way to give yourself a correctly set up stance for your practice sessions. Simply measure out your distance as you would a normal oche, peel of the backing tape and careful place on the floor.
Adhesive oche's work best on hard floors and tiles.
